LEQ: What are the steps to necessary to get your video into the computer from the camera?
Activating Strategies: Video tape the class. Walk around and get each student on the tape.
Acceleration/Previewing/Vocabulary: Capture, Pinnacle, Digital Video
Teaching Strategies and Distributed Guided Practice/Summarizing Prompts:
Boot up PC on QMSTECH login
Show students icon for Pinnacle.
Run Pinnacle 9
Select CAPTURE
Plug in power cord
Turn on camera
Have camera on playback
Plug in Fire Wire
Select take no action from pop up window
Use onscreen buttons to rewind tape.
Select capture button
Name file appropriately (P2 Solar Limits 1)
Must have time counting and video showing in upper right window.
Click stop capture when done
Video is in ALT ENERGY CAPTURE on drive C:
Have groups meet during the rest of the period to practice scripts.
