Activating Strategies: Show a finished copy of what the students are doing today
Acceleration/Previewing/Vocabulary: Chromakey, Picture in Picture, Video, Audio, Background,
Teaching Strategies and Distributed Guided Practice/Summarizing Prompts:
Demonstrate the following to the class.
  1. Log computers on with students names.
  2. Run Pinnacle
  3. Save file name (P1 sample drp)
  4. Import Picture Resources
  5. Display video in clips not file mode
  6. Drag down picture and put in Background
  7. Drag down a title screen and edit it
  8. Drag down water picture for background row
  9. Demonstrate zooming picture
  10. Drag down underwater video and set it to Chomakey and PIP
  11. Drag down Car Background
  12. Drag down Video of driver
  13. Demonstrate editing
  14. Mute audio on video
  15. Add sound effects over video
  16. Add tansistions
  17. Save file
Allow the students to create a video segment that that contains a title, a video with green screen background, and transistions using the same resources as the teacher from the MSTECH drive.
Summarizing Strategies:
Have a student call up their completed or nearly finished file on the SMART Board pc and show it to the class. Review the basic functions of the Pinnacle Studios program by indicating them on the students project. Cover the location of files (resources), how to edit video, the various layers of information and how to save.
