Sander Usage Rules
Always Use Safety Glasses and follow other standard lab rules
Firmly hold piece of material against table
Use a V-Block to sand dowels
Do not force material against sander
Do not attempt to sand small pieces of material
Avoid awkward hand positions that may bring your hands close to the abrasive belt
Keep Hands away from belts and rollers
Use entire width of belt when sanding materials
Discuss start-up and shutdown procedures for the sander
Ensure there is no material on the table of either sanding area
Make sure the working area is clear of dust and debris
Sanding Tips
Make sure the material being sanded does not have any dust on it
Always sand WITH the grain of the wood
